WELCOME!!!!

WELCOME!!!

Greetings to my new parents and students and welcome back to my returning students. We are getting geared up for another great year of dancing and performing. Let me cover some basics first.

We will follow the traditional school calendar beginning the first week of school and ending in May. If there is no school, there will be no dance. If we have an upcoming performance that requires that class time, we will reschedule to another day. We will adjust our schedule for early release days appropriately.

Tuition is due the first class of the month. There will be a $5.00 late fee for tuition not paid by the end of the second class of each month. Tuition paid after the end of said month must include a $10.00 late fee. Tuition is set for the year or you may choose to make equal monthly payments. Tuition is based on the average number of classes and performances per month and will not vary regardless of holidays or class absences. Please make your checks out to Dyanne Ifland. There is a tuition box in class for your convenience or you may mail or drop payment at 2982 Killearn Pointe Court, Tallahassee, FL 32312.

Please have your child wear proper dance attire. Leotards and tights or dance shorts, ballet skirts, etc. Solid black or pink for ballet/tap and preschool classes is best. Please no oversized T-shirts as I need to see body placement on our dancers. All hair must be pulled back please. Guys please wear comfortable but not oversized gym style attire. All Killearn Lakes students should bring their own beach towel or mat for floor work. You may also want to stick a small snack and lots of water or sports drink in their dance bag. Remember to write your child’s name on everything.

If your child needs to be picked up or dropped off at the after-school, kids club or preschool program please be CERTAIN that my name is on their registration form as an authorized person to pick up your child. Attached is a check off to be returned to me if your child will be in these programs. Please drop in the tuition box. All other students need to be picked up promptly at the end of dance class or make necessary arrangements as needed. Parents are required to pick up their child in the assigned dance class area. No child will be permitted to walk to the parking lot for pick up. Remember to sign your child out of class each week on the sign out clip board available in dance class.

Classes at Epiphany School will be held in the sanctuary. Killearn Lakes students please meet in the courtyard (in the case of inclement weather dance class will be held in the Art Room, class #531). Classes will be structured with the first segment devoted to stretching and conditioning. The middle of our class will be spent on technique with the last third of the class attention going to our current dance routine.

Please remember that Killearn Kids is a performing troupe. All our dances are choreographed with each dancer having a special role or partner. If you must miss class I ask you please call and notify me by leaving a message at 668-1162 or 556-4827. If your child must drop classes I ask you give us as much notice as possible. At least 14 days notice will help give us time to replace them where needed. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. This affects all our dancers. Please re-read this paragraph.

I encourage parents to limit their visitation to the last class of each month for concentration purposes. The last 15 minutes of the last class of every month will be a great opportunity for the parents to come by and see what their dancers have learned. As always, we encourage family participation at all rehearsal and performances.

Thank you so much for choosing to dance with Killearn Kids! I am really looking forward to working with your children. If you have ANY questions or concerns please contact Dyanne by e-mail.

Please see the schedule to find out more about our classes.
